Is 11:10. How has this prophecy been fulfilled? (ip-1 165, 166 pars. 16-18).

Isaiah 11:10 highlights how a powerful prophecy has been fulfilled. The earliest assault on pure worship took place in the Garden of Eden, when Satan succeeded in leading Adam and Eve into disobedience against Jehovah. Since then, he has relentlessly attempted to turn humanity away from God. However, Isaiah’s prophecy points to the Messiah as the only genuine leader for people of all nations. This prophecy reaches into our present time, as individuals from every background show their love for Jehovah by supporting the anointed brothers of the Messiah. In this way, Isaiah 11:10 continues to find fulfillment.

Spiritual Insights From the Weekly Bible Reading

Isaiah 11:1 emphasizes God’s Kingdom through Jesus Christ. At his baptism, Jesus became the Messiah—Jehovah’s Anointed One and the symbolic branch from Jesse—appointed to rule the nations. Humanity’s hope rests on him, as this Kingdom government will ultimately bring an end to human suffering.

Isaiah 11:3 reveals that Jesus’ fear of Jehovah was rooted in deep respect and loving reverence. He sought to please God out of love rather than obligation. Likewise, families today benefit greatly when both parents and children cultivate a similar reverence for God and put obedience to Him first in their lives.

Isaiah 11:4 portrays Jesus as a righteous King who judges according to Jehovah’s standards. He does not base decisions on appearances or hearsay but renders fair judgments in favor of the meek and humble. His example provides an ideal model for imperfect humans who are entrusted with responsibilities of judgment today.

Isaiah 11:9 points to a future time under God’s Kingdom when the earth will be filled with accurate knowledge of Jehovah. As a result, obedient people will be prepared to care properly for the earth, and harmony between humans and animals will be fully restored, reflecting God’s original purpose.

Isaiah 12:1 shows that although Jehovah’s discipline can be firm, it is always corrective and effective. It restores the relationship between God and His people and reestablishes pure worship. Jehovah assures his loyal servants of salvation, giving them strong reasons to express heartfelt gratitude.

Isaiah 12:2 reminds us that Jehovah’s immense power is perfectly balanced by wisdom, justice, and love. This gives us every reason to trust Him completely and rely on Him as our Sovereign Lord and Almighty God.

Isaiah 12:4 recalls the joy experienced by Israel in 537 B.C.E. when they were restored to their homeland after Babylonian captivity. In fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophecy, they openly praised Jehovah and proclaimed his mighty acts—just as his liberated servants continue to do today.

Isaiah 13:3 demonstrates that Jehovah can use even the ambitions of nations to accomplish His purposes and express His judgment. Just as Assyria and Babylon were used in the past, other nations may also serve as instruments in fulfilling divine justice.

Isaiah 13:19 highlights the present condition of ancient Babylon, now reduced to desolate ruins. Its destruction stands as undeniable proof of the absolute reliability of Jehovah’s prophetic word.

Isaiah 13:22 explains that Babylon’s fall was progressive rather than immediate. Nevertheless, history confirms that every detail foretold regarding its destruction was fulfilled. This strengthens confidence in the Bible as God’s inspired Word and assures us that remaining prophecies will also be fulfilled at Jehovah’s appointed time.
