Continue to forgive one another generously (Col. 3:13)
The apostle Paul understood that his companions were not perfect. An example of this is when he began attending the congregation in Jerusalem, where many feared and distrusted him (Acts 9:26). Later, some people spoke ill of him behind his back (2 Cor. 10:10). Later, Paul observed how a mature brother made a wrong decision that could have caused other Christians to stumble (Galatians 2:11, 12). In addition, he suffered a great disappointment with Mark, one of his close associates (Acts 15:37, 38). Paul would have had reason to distance himself from those brothers who had caused him pain, but instead, he chose to maintain a positive attitude toward them and continue to serve Jehovah faithfully.
What helped Paul not to drift away from his brothers? (Colossians 3:13, 14)
